More COVID-19 patients confirmed
86th patient is a family member of 83rd patient

Additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Jeju.

The provincial government said that a family member of the 83rd patient was tested positive for the virus, thus becoming the island’s 86th patient.

Patient no. 86 tested negative on their first test before being placed in self-quarantine. However, the patient showed suspicious symptoms since then, and they were re-tested.

The province is conducting investigations to trace the travel routes of patient nos. 83 and 86 from November 10th, the day when they arrived in Jeju, to December 1st.

It is reported that they visited 36 sites, including restaurants, tourist attractions and cafes and mostly travelled together.

자가격리 전 검사에서는 음성 통보를 받았지만
몸살기운 등 유증상이 나타남에 따라
재검사를 실시했고
어제(3) 최종 양성 판정을 받았습니다.

제주도는 83번, 86번 확진자의
발생원인과 감염경로를 확인하기 위해
이들이 입도한 지난달 10일부터
확진판정을 받은 지난 1일까지의 세부 이동 경로를 확인하며
심층 역학조사를 진행하고 있습니다.

두 확진자는 거의 대부분의 동선을 함께 한 것으로 파악됐고
일반음식점과 관광지, 카페 등
모두 36곳을 방문한 것으로 확인됐습니다.
