Additional COVID-19 patients confirmed in Jeju
Test positive while in quarantine

Additional COVID-19 patients have been confirmed in Jeju.

The traveling companion of the Seoul resident who stirred controversy for coming to Jeju Island before the result of their COVID-19 test was released, was also confirmed positive for the virus in Jeju on the 4th.

The provincial government confirmed the visitor as Jeju’s patient no. 87. The patient arrived in Jeju on November 25th with the resident of Seoul and was placed in self-quarantine.

The 88th and 89th patients are contacts of the 69th patient who visited the Seoul metropolitan area. They were in self-quarantine from November 24th and tested positive on December 6th.

Initial tests resulted in a negative diagnosis for COVID-19. However, the patient exhibited suspicious symptoms during quarantine, and a follow-up test confirmed a positive result for the coronavirus.

Jeju Island expects no additional points of contact and travel sites of patient nos. 87, 88 and 89 as they were confirmed while in quarantine.

이들은
수도권을 방문한 이력이 있는 69번 확진 환자와의 접촉자입니다.

지난달 24일부터 자가격리중이었으며
최초 검사에서 음성으로 나왔지만
뒤늦게 관련 증상을 보여
다시 검체 검사를 받은 결과 양성으로 나왔습니다.

제주도는 격리 도중 확진 판정으로 추가 동선이나 접촉자는 없을 것으로 예상하고 있습니다.
