Province reviews adoption of COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits
New diagnostic tests deliver results in 30 minutes

Jeju island has announced plans to adopt the new COVID-19 antigen tests that can deliver results in up to 30 minutes.

The provincial government has stated that the plan set forth by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to employ the use of rapid diagnostic tests for COVID-19 is also being considered for use in the province.

Unlike the existing methods that have a longer turnaround time, the rapid antigen testing is a method that can deliver results in up to 30 minutes, and authorities are looking into plans to distribute them to provincial clinics rather than screening clinics.

However, the province must issue a budget and purchasing procedures before initiating the plan, so it will take some time to actually distribute them in Jeju.

다소 시일이 걸릴 것으로 보입니다.
