Province and council make agreement on contents of poll for 2nd airport
Survey to be finished by Jan. 11

Jeju Island and the Jeju Provincial Council have agreed on the contents of the poll to gather opinions from residents concerning the second airport.

Jeju Governor Won Hee-ryong and Jeju Provincial Council Chairman Joa Nam-su publicly announced an agreement at a joint briefing on the 11th to gather opinions from Jeju residents about the second airport.

The residents of Seongsan-eup, where the second airport is planned to be constructed, will be polled separately from the rest of the island. The poll will consist of a total of four multiple choice questions regarding gender, age, area of residence and yea-nay vote.

The poll will close on January 11th of 2021 and the results will be delivered to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

제2공항 도민 의견수렴을 위한 여론조사 내용에 합의했습니다.

원희룡 제주도지사와 좌남수 제주도의회 의장은
11일 공동 브리핑을 통해
제2공항 도민의견수렴 합의문을 발표하고
내용을 공개했습니다.

여론조사는 전체도민을 대상으로 하는 조사와
성산읍 주민을 대상으로 하는 조사가 별도로 진행되며
성별과 연령, 거주지역과 찬성, 반대 의견을 묻는
총 4개 선택 문항으로 구성됩니다.

제주도와 의회는
다음달 11일까지 여론조사를 완료하고
도민의견 수렴 결과를 국토교통부에 제출할 계획입니다.
