Level 2 social distancing policies to be enforced from the 18th
Cafes, restaurants must close after 9:00 p.m.

With COVID-19 cases soaring in Jeju Island, social distancing levels will be upgraded to level 2 starting from the 18th.

Jeju Governor Won Hee-ryong held a press conference at the provincial government office on the 15th and announced that the social distancing measures will be raised to level 2. The upgrade will come into effect on midnight of the 18th due to the recent uptick of COVID-19 cases on the island.

Businesses such as restaurants and cafes must be closed after 9 p.m. after which only take-out or delivery is permitted.

Singing rooms and indoor sports facilities will also be suspended after 9 p.m., and five types of entertainment facilities such as karaoke bars will be completely restricted from operating.

The number of people allowed in wedding halls and funerals will be capped at 100 and the number of people at public baths must be limited to one person per 4 square meters of floor space.

오는 18일 0시부터 거리두기를 2단계로 올린다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 식당이나 카페 같은 업소는
밤 9시부터 영업을 중단해야 하며
포장이나 배달만 가능합니다.

노래연습장과 실내체육시설도
밤 9시 이후에는 운영을 중단하고,
단란주점이나 유흥주점 같은
유흥시설 5종은 영업이 전면 제한됩니다.

결혼식장이나 장례식장은 100명 미만으로,
목욕탕은 시설면적 4제곱미터당 1명으로
인원을 제한해야 합니다.
