Restrictions on development lifted in the site for second airport
Construction and installation permitted as of Dec. 16

The restrictions on development and building construction in Seongsan-eup, which has been designated as the site for the second airport, have been lifted from the 16th.

Jeju Island announced that the period of designating 5.86 million square meters of the area of Onpyeong-ri 온평리, Seongsan-eup as a restricted area for development activity has expired as of December 15th. The restrictions were first issued in December 2015.

As a result, development activities, such as construction, installing workpieces, and changing the landscape, will be possible with permission.

The government has asked developers to honor the land permit area, which remains in effect until November of next year.

3. 제2공항 예정지 '개발행위허가 제한' 해제

제2공항 개발 예정지로 지정된
성산읍 일대에 대한 개발행위허가 제한이 16일부터 해제되었습니다.

제주도는
공항 개발계획 발표 당시인 지난 2015년 12월부터
성산읍 온평리 일대 586만 제곱미터를
개발행위허가 제한지역으로 지정한 기간이
15일로 만료된다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 개발행위허가 제한이 해제되면
건축물 건축이나 공작물 설치,
토지 형질변경 같은 개발행위가
허가를 통해 가능해집니다.

제주도는 다만
앞으로 제2공항 개발이 추진되면
건축물 철거와 보상 등에 따른 손실이 우려되고,
토지거래허가구역이 내년 11월까지 유지되는 만큼
개발행위를 자제해줄 것을 당부했습니다.
