Dongmun Night Market shut down temporarily
Considered ‘high-risk’, popular attraction closed until Jan. 3

The Dongmun Night Market has been temporarily shut down due to a group of confirmed COVID-19 cases that occurred in a nearby sauna.

Jeju Island decided to close the night market until January 3 next year after holding an emergency special meeting with the Dongmun Traditional Market Operation Committee.

The decision for the closure was made after taking into account that the night market is considered a high-risk facility as the small space averages about 9,000 visitors per day.

Meanwhile, Jeju Island is strengthening the disinfection of public toilets in Dongmun Traditional Market and monitoring the implementation of social distancing measures.

한편 제주도는 동문시장 내 공중화장실 등에 대해
방역 소독을 강화하고
사회적 거리두기 이행 상황을 점검하고 있습니다.
