School graduations to be held early due to COVID-19
Authorities encouraging non-face-to-face ceremonies

Schools in Jeju Island will hold graduation ceremonies earlier than normal due to COVID-19.

According to the Jeju Provincial Office of Education, four elementary schools will be the first to hold graduation ceremonies. Donam (도남) Elementary School, along with Wolang (월랑), Inhwa (인화) and Singwang (신광) will be graduating on the 30th.

The majority of elementary schools on the island will be holding their ceremonies during the first half of next month, with middle and high schools also planning their graduations by the end of January.

Education authorities are encouraging non-face-to-face ceremonies due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

도남초와 월랑초,
인화초, 신광초가 가장 먼저 30일 졸업식을 엽니다.

이어 나머지 초등학교 대부분도
다음달 첫째주부터
둘째주 사이에 조기에 졸업식을 개최할 예정입니다.

중.고등학교 역시
다음달 중에 졸업식을 계획하고 있습니다.

교육당국은 코로나19 확산 우려로
비대면 졸업 방식을 권장하고 있습니다.
