COVID-19 negative confirmation required for international travelers
New policy comes into effect on Jan. 8th at airports, 15th at seaports

Starting on January 8th, all international travelers entering the country will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 confirmation.

The national government has stated that a PCR-negative confirmation issued within 72 hours of departure must be submitted to enter South Korea. The decision was made to block the influx of COVID-19 variants from the UK.

The new requirement will come into effect on the 8th for international citizens traveling by air, and the 15th for those traveling by sea.

3. 8일부터 외국인 입국자 '코로나 음성' 확인

오는 8일부터 모든 외국인 입국자에 대해
코로나19 음성 확인서 제출이 의무화됩니다.

정부는 영국발 코로나 변이 바이러스 유입을 차단하기 위해
출발일 기준 72시간 이내 발급한
PCR 음성 확인서 제출을 의무화한다고 밝혔습니다.

공항을 통해 입국하는 경우
오는 8일 입국하는 외국인들부터 적용되고,
항만은 15일 승선자부터 적용됩니다.

한편 제주국제공항에는 현재 중국 일부 지역에 한해
국제선이 운항되고 있습니다.
