28 businesses on list of reported sites of odor emissions
Sites include pig farms, fertilizer manufacturing facility

Twenty-eight commercial sites in the province that have received persistent odor complaints have been added to the official list of sites that have been reported for odor emission.

Jeju Island has announced that 27 pig farms and one fertilizer manufacturing facility have been officially added. All 28 sites have received odor complaints for over a year and have exceeded the emission limit four times.

Although 30 sites were initially planned to be added to the list, the final decision was to include only 28, in light of information that was submitted by the farms.

Once officially designated as an odor emission facility, the business must install odor reduction facilities within 6 months and take necessary measures to prevent odors within 1 year.

5. 악취배출시설 28개 사업장 신고시설 추가 지정

지속적인 악취 민원을 유발하는
도내 28군데 사업장이 악취배출시설 신고시설로 추가 지정됐습니다.

제주도는 1년 이상
악취 민원이 지속되고 배출허용기준을 4회 이상 초과한
양돈장 27곳과 비료제조시설 1곳에 대해
악취배출시설 신고시설로 추가 지정 고시했다고 밝혔습니다.

당초 30개소를 지정할 계획이었지만,
농가에서 제출된 의견이 반영돼 28개 사업장만
지정하게 됐다고 덧붙였습니다.

악취배출시설로 지정된 사업장은
6개월 이내에 악취배출시설을 설치하고
1년 이내에 악취 방지에 필요한 조치를 이행해야 합니다.
