The province has implemented changes in policies that will affect the daily lives of residents.

The reservation system for climbing Hallasan Mountain, which was suspended last year, is back open, and a crackdown on illegal parking around Seongpanak is also being enforced.

Due to the spread of Covid-19, safe restaurants have been designated around the island and respiratory clinics will also begin operations to prevent further spread of the virus.

Joseph Kim reports.

The reservation system for climbing Hallasan Mountain, which had been suspended due to the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic, has started again as of this month.

The number of visitors is limited to 1,000 people for the Seongpanak course, and 500 people for the Gwaneumsa course per day. You can only climb by making a reservation in advance.
In addition, a crackdown on illegal parking is tightening up around the entrance of the Seongpanak course.

Along with the crackdown, Jeju Province is running transfer parking lot services at Jeju International University for 199 cars and at the Seogwipo Kenaf Field for 45 cars.

Due to the spread of Covid-19, restaurants that practice the task of improving the dining culture including quarantine, are designated and operated as Jerajin-Safe Restaurants.

The measure was carried out aiming at general restaurants that practice the tasks including staff wearing masks, preparing a separate plate for individual dining, and improving overall dining culture.

To prevent the simultaneous spread of Covid-19 and the flu, respiratory clinics are run as well.

Designating certain health centers and hospitals in the province, they will be in charge of professional counseling and treatment for respiratory illnesses.

From this year, if you give birth to your second child, and if you have been living in Jeju for more than 12 months, you can receive Childcare Support Funds of 10 million won or Housing Rental Support Funds of 14 million won over 5 years.
The National Employment System will be implemented for 4,000 job-seekers including youths, women whose careers have stalled, the middle-aged and those in the low-income bracket to receive up to 3 million won of job-seeking promotion allowances.

In case of emergency reduction measures being issued due to high concentrations of fine dust, if you drive a vehicle with a level 5 emission rating, you will be fined 100,000 won.
