Special management of correctional facilities on Jeju
Infectious disease response manual to be revised with policy upgrade

COVID 19 testing was carried out at the Jeju Correctional Institution with all results confirmed negative for the coronavirus. The province will still be undertaking special management measures at the facility as a precaution.

The province is also discussing the implementation of a step-by-step response manual for correctional facilities as these are places with high possibility of collective infection.

A separate quarantine facility will be established according to the number of inmates and an additional isolation camp is planned to be constructed in preparation for the possibility of large-scale infections.

The province will also undergo a pre-emptive inspection of all 80 male youth and employees of Hangil (한길) Information and Communication School, a youth detention center.

2. 제주도, 교정시설 특별 관리…대응 매뉴얼 검토

제주교도소에 대한 코로나19 전수조사 결과
전원 음성 판정이 나왔지만, 교정 시설은 특별 관리됩니다.

제주도는 교정시설이 집단 감염 가능성이 높은 장소인 만큼
인원수별로 단계별 대응 매뉴얼 마련을 검토하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

인원수에 맞는 별도 격리시설을 마련하고
35명 이상 대규모 감염이 발생할 경우에는
격리 수용동을 추가로 운영하는 방법 등을 마련할 계획입니다.

또, 한길정보통신학교 내 수용 소년과 직원 80여 명에 대해서도
선제적인 전수검사를 실시할 방침입니다.
