National petition for improvement of delivery fee system draws to a close
Fails to obtain 200,000 signatures

The Jeju provincial government, along with Jeju Green Consumer Network, have conducted a national petition calling for the improvement of special delivery fees to the island, but failed to reach the target number.

The presidential office is required to respond to a Cheong Wa Dae National Petition that has received at least 200,000 signatures within 30 days, but the province’s petition was only able to obtain 17,800 signatures. The National Assembly Petition only garnered only 5,000 signatures.

The province has said that they will continue to seek ways to ease parcel delivery costs regardless of the results of the national petition.

청와대 국민청원의 경우
30일동안 20만 이상의 동의가 있어야 정부의 답변을 들을 수 있지만
1만 7천 800여명에 머물렀고
국회 청원도 5천여명에 그쳤습니다.

제주도는 이번 국민청원 결과와 상관없이
택배 물류비가 완화될 수 있도록
제도개선을 통해 택배 물류비가 완화될 수 있는 방안을
지속적으로 모색하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
