Influx of new residents increases Jeju’s population
2020 census estimates population at 674,635

According to the most recent population census taken in December of 2020, the population of Jeju Island has been estimated at just over 674,600.

The Population Data of the Statistical Yearbook released by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security reported Jeju’s population at 674,635 as of December 2020 which is an increase of 3,600 compared to the previous year.

The natural population increase, which is calculated by births and deaths, was 145. The figure is the lowest number in recorded history. However, the number of people who moved to Jeju from other regions was more than 2,700.

지역내 출생과 사망을 통한 자연 증가는 145명으로
역대 가장 낮았지만
다른 지역에서 순유입된 인구가
2천 7백명을 넘으면서
인구 증가세로 이어졌습니다.
