Jeju lifts ban on poultry products from parts of Chungcheong Province
New policy in effect on Jan. 18

The Jeju provincial government will lift the ban on poultry products starting from the 18th.

Bans will be lifted on nine cities and counties in Chungcheong-do Province that do not have cases of the highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Only poultry products such as meat and eggs will be allowed from these areas.

Jeju Island explained that the measure has been implemented to help companies within Jeju who have been suffering from a lack of poultry products due to the continuing ban.

5. 18일부터 충청 일부지역 가금산물 반입 허용

제주특별자치도가
18일부터 가금산물의 반입금지를 제한적으로 해제합니다.

대상지역은
충남. 충북지역 가운데
고병원성 조류인플루엔자가 발생하지 않은 9개 시군입니다.

이 지역에 대해서는
고기와 식용란, 종란 등
가금산물에 대해서만 반입이 허용됩니다.

제주도는
다른 시도산이나 수입산에 대한 의존도가 높은 상황에서
장기간 반입금지에 따른
가금산물 부족으로
관련업체가
많은 어려움을 겪고 있음에 따라
이같은 조치를 시행하게 됐다고 설명했습니다.
