￦33B in relief funds for industries, individuals impacted by COVID-19
Distributions to begin next month

Jeju Island has announced a 33 billion won disaster relief support plan, with both the province and the provincial council agreeing to provide the relief funds.

Through a briefing after the standing council meeting, Jeju announced that they would pay 33 billion won worth of relief aid to affected industries and individuals directly impacted by the social distancing measures.

Around 42,000 companies that received the third round of aid will each receive an additional 500,000 won, while 1.5 to 2.5 million won will be distributed to general industries which include PC cafes and wedding and funeral halls.

In addition, a total of 2.3 billion won will be paid to those often overlooked by the national government in regards to receiving support including 3,200 cultural artists, chartered bus workers, and corporate taxi drivers.

The province plans to accept applications starting January and provide subsidies in sequential stages.

제주도는 상설협의체 회의 이후 브리핑을 열고
거리두기 조치로
직격탄을 맞은 피해 업종과 개인을 대상으로
330억 원 규모의 재난지원금을 지급하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

세부적으로는
정부 3차 지원을 받은 업체 4만 2천여 곳은 업체당 50만 원,
그리고 일반 업종은 150만 원에서 최대 250만 원이 지원됩니다.

이 밖에 정부 지원의 사각지대에 있는
문화예술인과 전세버스 종사자, 법인택시 기사 등
3천 2백여 명에 대해서도
총 23억 원 규모의 지원금이 지급됩니다.

제주도는
1월 부터 신청을 받아
단계적으로 지원금을 지급할 계획입니다.
