Province sets up plan for COVID-19 vaccinations
Essential workers and seniors on priority list

The provincial government is preparing to roll out COVID-19 vaccinations which are expected to start next month at the earliest.

In preparation, the province will be purchasing deep freezers to use for distribution of some of the coronavirus vaccines.

According to the province’s plan, priority groups for vaccination include employees of medical institutions and group facilities, as well as seniors aged 65 or older.

The province emphasized that as soon as the purchase and allocation of vaccines are finalized by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), Jeju Island will conduct vaccinations without any setbacks.

제주도가 이르면 다음달부터 시작되는

실무적인 준비에 들어갔습니다.

이에따라 이달 말부터 나라장터 등을 통해
백신 종류별 저온유통체계에 필요한
초저온 냉동고를 구매하기로 했습니다.

우선 접종 대상자도
의료기관 종사자나 집단시설 종사자,
65살 이상 노인 등을 중심으로
선별할 방침입니다.

제주도는
질병관리청 주관으로
백신 구매와 배정이 마무리되면
자체 계획에 따라
차질 없이 유통하고 접종하겠다고 설명했습니다.
