Heightened crackdown on illegal parking at Seongpanak
Violators will face fines up to ￦50,000

Parking on the 5.16 road around the Seongpanak area is banned starting this month.

Jeju City will crack down on illegal parking on a 4.5km section from the Gyorae Three-way Intersection to the entrance of the Seongpanak rest area by placing more attendants in the area as well as increasing the number of surveillance cameras.

Illegal parking of trucks that are 4 ton or larger will be fined up to 50,000 won with smaller vehicles fined up to 40,000 won.

Meanwhile, fines of illegal parking in child protection zones will be raised from 80,000 to 120,000 won.

이달 부터 성판악 일대 5.16도로에서
차량 주정차가 금지됩니다.

제주시는
주차 금지구역으로 지정된
교래삼거리부터 성판악 휴게소 입구까지
4.5km 구간을 대상으로
CCTV와 인력을 집중 투입해
불법 주정차 단속을 실시한다고 밝혔습니다.

위반 차량은
승용차와 4톤 이하 화물차는 4만 원,
4톤 초과 차량은 5만 원의 과태료가 부과됩니다.

이 밖에
어린이보호구역 주정차 위반 과태료도
승용차 기준 기존 8만 원에서
올해부터 12만원으로 인상됩니다.
