Full-scale COVID-19 testing for foreign residents in Jeju
Rapid antigen tests to be conducted

Jeju Island will be undergoing a full inspection of foreign residents in Jeju.

The province has announced that a full COVID-19 inspection will be conducted on 30,000 foreign workers and registered foreigners in the province.

The government has also assured that anonymous inspections will be available for those who are in the country illegally.

Instead of a gene amplification test, however, a rapid antigen test will be implemented, which shows results in about 30 minutes.

1. 도내 외국인 '신속항원' 전수검사 추진

제주도내 외국인 근로자가 최근 코로나19에 감염되면서
제주도가 전수검사를 추진합니다.

제주도는
도내 외국인 근로자와 등록 외국인 등 3만여 명을 대상으로 조만간 코로나19 전수 검사를 실시한다고 밝혔습니다.

특히 외국인 근로자이면서 불법체류하고 있는 경우
익명검사를 지원할 방침입니다.

외국인 검사는
유전자증폭 검사 대신
30분 정도면 결과를 알 수 있는 신속항원검사가 적용되며
제주도는 검사 결과가 확정되는 대로
검사 키트 확보에 나설 계획입니다.
