Heightened social distancing measures remain in effect
Province prepares for influx of tourists during Lunar New Year holiday

Strengthened social distancing measures on Jeju are expected to be maintained for the time being.

Jeju Island announced that heightened social distancing measures such as banning gatherings of 5 or more people have helped control the outbreak on the island. However, as the situation nationwide remains unstable, the enhanced measures will remain in effect until January 31st.

As the number of visitors to the island is expected to increase during the Lunar New Year holiday, additional quarantine measures will be prepared and implemented, focusing on multi-use facilities and tourist hotspots.

Meanwhile, there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jeju for three consecutive days.

마스크 착용 등을 통해 효과를 보고 있지만,
전국적으로 여전히 불안요인이 많은 만큼
1월 31일까지 강화된 사회적 거리두기를 적용한다고
밝혔습니다.

특히, 설 연휴 기간 입도객이 늘어날 것으로 예상되는 만큼
다중이용시설과 방문지 등을 중심으로 제주형 방역대책을
마련해 추진할 예정입니다.
