Jeju Island’s traffic culture index ranked No. 1 in nation
Traffic safety policies, budgets receive ‘Grade A’

The Jeju Traffic Culture Index ranked the highest in the country last year.

In last year's traffic culture index evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Jeju Island recorded 83.66, ranking first among 17 cities and provinces nationwide.

By sector, traffic safety, such as implementing traffic safety policies and securing budgets, topped the list with a grade A.

On the other hand, Jeju ranked 8th for driver behavior and 10th for pedestrian behavior.

지난해 제주도 교통문화지수가
전국에서 가장 높은 것으로 조사됐습니다.

국토교통부가 실시한 지난해 교통문화지수 평가에서
제주도는 83.66을 기록해
전국 17개 시도 가운데 1위를 차지했습니다.

분야별로는
교통안전정책 이행과 예산 확보 등 교통안전 분야가
A등급으로 1위를 차지했니다.

반면 횡단보도 신호 준수, 방향지시등 점등률 같은
운전행태와 보행행태 분야에서는
각각 8위와 10위로 중하위에 머물렀습니다.
