Jeju’s special quarantine measures enforced until the 14th
Province authorizes zero-tolerance policy for violations

Jeju Island will establish a special quarantine period from the 6th to the 14th, which is the end of the Lunar New Year holiday.

In order to minimize the inflow of COVID-19 cases from outside the province, Jeju will offer incentives to tourists who submit negative test results prior to traveling to the island. The incentives will include discounts on admission fees to attractions. The province is highly recommending tourists to receive COVID-19 tests three days before travelling to Jeju.

For those who do not get tested and are confirmed for the virus after arriving in Jeju, the provincial government will enact a zero-tolerance policy and will reserve the right to demand compensation for damages.

High-risk and multi-use facilities are required to certify safe codes or enforce entry logs from visitors. If quarantine rules are violated, such as failing to enforce mask-wearing, a one-strike-out system will be applied and a fine will be imposed.

The provincial government will work with administrative cities and the police to maintain the emergency work system and strengthen on-site crackdowns.

사전 검사 없이 입도한 뒤 확진돼
피해를 입힐 경우에는
무관용 원칙으로 구상권을 청구할 방침입니다.

고위험시설과 다중이용 시설에서는
안심코드 인증이나 출입명부 작성을 의무화하고
마스크 미착용 등 방역 수칙을 위반하면
원스트라이크 아웃제가 적용돼 과태료가 부과됩니다.

제주도는
행정시와 경찰등과 공조해 비상근무 체계를 유지하고 현장 단속을 강화할 예정입니다.
