JDC promotes 'Future Agricultural Center'
Expects to train 200 professionals a year, maximize profits for farmers

The Jeju International Free City Development Center will promote the Future Agricultural Center instead of creating a high-tech agricultural complex that has been controversial in the past.

The Future Agricultural Center aims to stabilize the supply of Jeju agricultural products, secure stable sales channels, and train professionals for future agriculture. If a basic plan is established this year and a site is selected, the center aims to start construction in the second half of next year.

The plan consists of the installation of various facilities, including ones for educational research, and smart distribution.

JDC expects that with the establishment of the Future Agricultural Center, some 200 professionals can be trained annually and farming households will be able to maximize profits by installing an innovative smart distribution platform.

과거 논란이 됐던 첨단농식품단지 조성 대신 '미래농업센터'를 추진합니다.

미래농업센터는
제주 농산물의 수급안정과 안정적인 판로 확보,
미래농업에 대비한 전문인력 양성을 골자로 하고 있으며
올해 중에 기본계획을 수립하고
사업부지가 선정되면
내년 하반기 착공을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

특히 교육연구시설과 실증시설, 체험관광시설,
스마트 유통시설을 갖춘다는 구상입니다.

JDC는 미래농업센터가 설립될 경우
연간 200여명의 전문인력을 양성할 수 있고
획기적인 스마트 유통 플랫폼 구축으로
농가수익을 극대화 할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.
