Opinion poll shows majority of residents oppose second airport
Two companies survey over 4,000 residents from Feb. 15-17

The results of the opinion poll for the construction of the second airport, which was conducted by 9 media outlets in Jeju, including KCTV Jeju, have been released. The final numbers show that the majority of Jeju residents are opposed to the second airport.

In the Embrain Public survey, 43.8% of votes were in favor while 51.1% were against.

Gallup Korea also released similar results with 44.1% in favor and a higher percentage of 47% in opposition.

However, in the case of the Gallup Korea survey, the difference between pros and cons was 2.9%, which was within the margin of error.

This poll was held for three days from the 15th and commissioned to Gallup Korea and Embrain Public which collected responses from 2,000 and 2,019 residents, respectively. Further details can be found on the website of the National Election Survey Deliberation Commission.

엠브레인퍼블릭 조사에서는
찬성이 43.8%, 반대가 51.1%로
반대 여론이 과반수인 것으로 나타났습니다.

한국갤럽 역시 찬성 44.1%, 반대 47%로 반대 의견이 더 높았습니다.

다만 한국갤럽 조사의 경우 찬반 의견차가
2.9%로 오차 범위안에 들었습니다.
