Seongsan-eup residents in favor of second airport
Polls show conflicting results

Apart from the poll of Jeju residents regarding the second airport, a separate poll was conducted exclusively on residents of Seongsan-eup, where the airport is to be constructed, which showed dramatically different results.

In the poll conducted by Embrain, 65.6 % of Seongsan residents approved of the construction of the second airport, which is nearly double of the 33% that opposed.

Similar results were released by Gallup Korea, with 64.9% in favor, and 31.4% against.

As such, a united consensus was not able to be reached due to the conflicting opinions.

4. 성산읍 주민 3명 중 2명 "제2공항 찬성"

제주도민 여론조사와 별도로
성산읍 주민들을 대상으로 진행된
제2공항 찬반 여론 조사에서는
정반대의 결과가 나왔습니다.

엠브레인이 실시한 여론조사에서는
제2공항 건설에 대한 찬성이 65.6%로
반대 33%보다 2배 가까이 높게 나왔습니다.

한국갤럽에서도 찬성표가 64.9%로,
반대 31.4%보다 2배 이상 높았습니다.

이처럼 제주도민과 성산읍 주민 간
의견 차이를 보이면서
도민 전체의 하나된 의견을 찾는 데는 이르지 못했다는 평가입니다.
