Underpass to be spruced up
Jejuseo Middle School’s underpass to be refurbished with ￦100M

The underground walkway located in front of Jejuseo Middle School will be refurbished.

Jeju City announced that as the underground walkway was completed 10 years ago, maintenance and repair to refurbish the facility, including internal tiles, are planned.

A project fee of 100 million won will be injected by May for the maintenance and repair including elevator maintenance.

The underpass was built in 2009 with an investment of 2.7 billion won to relieve traffic congestion at the entrance to the traditional market and to ensure the safety of students. Unfortunately, the facility has not been properly managed consequently abating into a nuisance.

준공된 지 10년이 지나
내부 타일이 손상되는 등 노후화됨에 따라
정비 사업에 들어간다고 밝혔습니다.

이번 정비는 오는 5월까지 사업비 1억 원이 투입되며
승강기 유지보수도 병행됩니다.

제주서중 지하보도는 지난 2009년
오일시장 입구의 교통체증을 해소하고
서중 재학생들의 통행 여건을 조성하기 위해
27억 원을 들여 시설됐지만
제대로 관리되지 않으면서 애물단지로 전락한 상태입니다.
