Civic groups in favor of 2nd airport speak out
Seongsan residents stand with governor

Some Seongsan residents have welcomed the decision announced by Governor Won to push forward with construction on the second airport.

On the 11th, a civic group and the Seongsan-eup Youth Hope Forum expressed their support for the governor’s positive stance on the project and urged the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to proceed with construction.

The New Airport Creation Supporting Council, which is organized by the Jeju Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with financial organizations, and the Jeju Regional Economic Organization Council said that the second airport should be promoted to help revive the local economy and to achieve balanced development.
