Hospitalization delays at infectious disease hospitals
Hospital beds for general patients reassigned

Quarantine authorities will adjust hospital beds for COVID-19 patients as the hospitalization of ordinary patients is delayed at infectious disease hospitals on Jeju Island.

Jeju Island has decided to partially reassign hospital beds of COVID-19 patients at Jeju National University Hospital and Seogwipo Medical Center to regular patients.

As a result, Jeju National University Hospital and Seogwipo Medical Center will reduce the number of COVID-19 designated beds from 128 to 72 and 106 to 67, respectively.


Jeju Island, however, explained that it is closely collaborating with the hospitals to secure additional beds immediately if the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases surges dramatically.


2. 감염병병원 일반 환자 입원 지연…병상 조정

일반 환자의 입원이 지연되는 문제가 지속됨에 따라
방역당국이 병상을 조정합니다.

제주도는 제주대학교병원과 서귀포의료원에서
코로나 환자용으로 배정된 병상을 일부 조정해
일반 환자에게 제공하기로 했습니다.

이에따라 제주대병원의 경우 코로나 병상 128개에서 72병상으로,
서귀포의료원은 106병상에서 67개로 줄어듭니다.

감축된 병상은 일반 환자에게 제공됩니다.

제주도는 다만 코로나 확진자가 폭증할 경우
즉시 병상을 추가로 확보하도록
병원과 협조하고 있다고 설명했습니다.
