A resolution calling for an early decision to end the conflict on Jeju's second airport passed the plenary session of the provincial council.

At the plenary session on the 25th, the Jeju Provincial Council passed a resolution calling for an early decision to end the conflict surrounding the 2nd airport. The resolution was initiated by Provincial Councilor (김희현) Kim Hee-hyon of the Democratic Party of Korea. It gained approval with 36 votes, excluding the five provincial members in the People Power Party.

At the meeting, members of the People Power Party voiced their opposition stating that the resolution will pave the way for a decision to annul the second airport and that it has been pushed unilaterally by the Democratic Party.

이 자리에서 국민의힘 도의원들은
이번 결의안이
2공항 무효화를 결정할 수 있는 길을 열어주고 있고
민주당의 일방적으로 추진되고 있다며 반대목소리를 냈습니다.
