Enactment of ordinance for victims wrongfully accused of espionage
Proposal for the ordinance to be submitted next month

An ordinance will be enacted to support victims who were falsely accused of espionage.

Councilor (강성민) Kang Sung-min held a policy meeting on the 26th with the aim of restoring the honor and providing support to the victims and their bereaved families in the provincial council building.

The meeting was held with the participation of victims, (이문철) Lim Moon-chul, former representative of the Catholic Priests’ Association of Justice in Jeju, (양동윤) Yang Dong-yoon, Representative of the April 3rd civic group
and (오승국) Oh Seung-guk, Deputy director of the April 3rd Trauma Center.

The proposal for the enactment to support for victims who were wrongfully imprisoned for espionage is expected to be submitted next month.


3. 간첩조작사건 피해자 지원 조례 제정 추진

과거 군사정권 시설
간첩조작사건으로
억울한 옥살이를 했던 피해자들의 구제를 위한
조례 제정이 추진됩니다.

제주도의회 행정자치위원회 강성민 의원은
26일 제주도의회 의사당 소회의실에서
간첩조작사건 피해자와 유족들의 명예회복과 지원을 위한
정책 간담회를 진행했습니다.

간담회에는 강성민 의원을 비롯해
간첩조작사건 피해자와
임문철 천주교제주교구 정의구현사제단 전 대표,
양동윤 4.3 도민연대 대표,
오승국 제주4.3트라우마센터 부센터장 등이 참여해
조례 제정을 위해 토론을 이어갔습니다.

강성민 의원은
정책간담회 내용을 토대로
간첩조작사건 피해자 지원을 위한
조례안을 제정해 다음달 쯤 발의할 예정입니다.
