Proposal on establishment of artists welfare fund
Aiming to raise ￦10B by 2025


A welfare fund will be allocated to support artists with their creative work and to help stabilize their livelihood.

Jeju Island has announced a legislative notice on the "Artist Welfare Fund Installation and Operation Ordinance" by the 10th of next month.

The creation of the Artist Welfare Fund will be the first in the country that supports creative activities of cultural artists, local art development, and loans for life stabilization funds.

The Artist Welfare Fund aims to raise 10 billion won from this year to 2025.

'예술인 복지기금 설치와 운용에 관한 조례안'을
입법 예고했습니다.

예술인 복지기금이 조성되는 것은 전국에서는 처음으로
문화예술인들의 창작 활동과
지역 예술 발전, 생활안정자금 융자 등에 쓰이게 됩니다.

예술인 복지기금은
올해부터 오는 2025년까지
100억 원 조성을 목표로 하고 있습니다.
