2 additional international schools are under review
MOU signed with schools willing to set up their schools in the province

The Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with two international schools willing to set up their schools.

The JDC says it has completed the first round of verification of their basic plans, including capital soundness and qualifications of the two candidate schools.

A second round of verifications will be held to review the detailed plans to push ahead with procedures related to the supply of land for the school sites within the year. Approval of the school establishment plan will then take place after consultation with the Provincial Office of Education.

The JDC has decided to keep all relative information including school and corporate names private until they apply for approval.

새로운 국제학교 유치 추진을 위한
양해각서를 각각 체결했다고 밝혔습니다.

JDC는 설립 의향자 2군데의
자본 건전성과 학교 우수성 등
학교 설립 기본계획에 대한 1차 검증을 완료했다고 밝혔습니다.

이어 세부 계획에 대한 2차 검증을 진행해
연내 학교 부지 공급과 관련된 절차를 추진하고
제주도교육청과 협의를 거쳐
학교 설립 계획 승인을 신청할 예정입니다.

한편 JDC는
국제학교 설립 의향자의 요청으로
학교명과 법인명에 대한 정보를
승인 신청 전까지 비공개하기로 했습니다.
