Governor Won states that Jeju needs to be HQ for strategic industries
He emphasizes importance of attracting high-quality human resources

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Governor Won Hee-ryong emphasized that Jeju should establish itself as the new headquarters to lead Korea's strategic industry.

During the 47th Jeju Future Forum held at the Maison Glad Jeju Hotel on the morning of the 18th, Governor Won stated that Jeju Island should build its position as a 'headquarter' to proactively create new industries and jobs beyond the scope of a test bed.

He explained that it is necessary to establish an R&D system applicable to Jeju. He added the importance of building a virtuous cycle of fostering and attracting high-quality human resources and expanded re-production.

He also said that the nation needs to advance its convergence strategy that connects the characteristics of each local government, and that a national leadership that values science is required.

고도화 해나갈 필요가 있다며
과학을 중시하는 국가적 리더십이 요청된다고 덧붙였습니다.
