The lives of Jeju women in archives
Province to produce video autobiography of the lives of 10 women

As part of the gender equality policy, the province is promoting a project to produce archive videos of the history of women in Jeju for the first time this year.

The main characters of this project are 10 ordinary women who have contributed to the development of Jeju in the course of Jeju's modern and contemporary history including farmers, nurses dispatched to Germany and merchants.

The province is planning to produce a video autobiography of their lives and use them as educational materials for gender equality through various social media platforms including YouTube.

올해 처음 제주여성생애사 아카이브
영상 제작 사업을 추진합니다.

이번 사업의 주인공은
제주의 근현대사 과정에서
제주발전에 기여해온 평범한 여성 10명으로,
중산간 농민부터 파독 간호사, 시장 상인 등입니다.

제주도는
이들의 삶을 담은 영상 자서전을 제작해
유튜브와 SNS 등을 통해
성평등 교육 자료로 활용할 예정입니다.
