Traditional ritual in Hannam-ri designated as local intangible cultural heritage
The ritual held every year on Feb. 12 of the lunar calendar

The province announced the designation of (한남리 본향당굿) 'Hannam-ri Bonhyangdang-gut' as Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 10.

The Hannam-ri Bonhyangdang-gut is a ceremony that is held every year on February 12th of the lunar calendar in Hannam-ri to pray for the safety and prosperity of the village.

The province said that the ceremony was designated as a local cultural heritage with its tradition being carried out in a large-scale manner and has settled as a tradition worth preserving.

전통이 뚜렷하게 유지된다는 점에서
제주의 향토 유산으로서 가치가 높다고
지정 이유를 설명했습니다.
