Province promoting project to forecast crop cultivating area
AI, drones will be used to establish the prediction system

The province is promoting a cultivation area prediction project based on digital technology that combines drones and artificial intelligence.

The province was selected for the second consecutive year in the AI learning data construction program led by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

1.9 billion won will be funded to construct artificial intelligence data on 15 crops by using drones, aviation and satellite images.

The plan is designed to establish a cultivation area prediction system to stabilize the supply of agricultural products.

드론과 인공지능을 융합한 디지털 기술에 기반해
농작물 재배면적 예측 사업을 추진합니다.

제주도는 과학기술정보통신부의
인공지능 학습용 데이터 구축 공모사업에
2년 연속 선정됐다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 국비 19억 원을 지원받아
드론과 항공, 위성영상을 활용해
농작물 15종에 대한 AI 학습용 데이터를
구축한다는 계획입니다.

이후 재배면적 예측 시스템으로
고도화 작업을 거쳐,
농산물 수급 안정 정책에
반영한다는 구상입니다.
