Paramedic accused of 'unlicensed injections' of COVID vaccines
Investigations underway on death after vaccination at same clinic

A paramedic who is not allowed to inject vaccines has been confirmed to have injected patients with COVID-19 vaccines at a clinic in Jeju City.

The Jeju Public Health Center announced on the 1st that it had filed a complaint with the local police on charges of unlicensed medical practice in violation of the Medical Act against the clinic and the emergency responder.

According to the Jeju Public Health Center, the paramedic had injected around 1,900 people at the clinic which is a violation of the Medical Service Act.

Health authorities are conducting an epidemiological investigation into the death of a woman in her 60s who received an AstraZeneca vaccine on the 7th of last month at the clinic.

의료법 위반에 따른 무면허 의료행위 혐의로
자치경찰에 고발했다고 밝혔습니다.

제주보건소에 따르면, 해당 의원은 의료법상 관련 자격이 없는 응급구조사가
환자들에게 코로나 백신을 주사했고
접종한 인원은 수 백명에 달하는 것으로 전해졌습니다.

한편 해당 의원에서 아스트라제네카 백신을 맞은 60대 여성이 지난달 7일 숨진 사고가 발생해
보건당국이 백신과의 연관성을 파악하기 위한 역학조사를 벌이고 있습니다.
