JPDC head apologizes for employee fraud
6 workers embezzled ￦4M worth of bottled water products

(김정학) Kim Jeong-hak, President of the Jeju Province Development Corporation recently made an official apology in relation to the allegation of embezzlement of Samdasoo bottle water products and called on an investigation by a judicial authority.

During an emergency briefing at the Jeju Provincial Office on the 5th, President Kim apologized for disappointing local residents, and said that all of the executives and employees at Samdasoo take responsibility.

In particular, a complaint was filed with the Dongbu Police Station on the morning of the 5th on charges of embezzlement for the six people.

President Kim emphasized that he will faithfully engage in investigations and will take strict measures in accordance with the law and regulations.

Following an internal audit at JPDC, the number of people involved in the embezzlement of bottled water has increased from four to six, and the amount of stolen products reached to 4 million won based on the consumer price.


3. 김정학 사장, 삼다수 무단반출 의혹 사과…수사의뢰

최근 제주도개발공사 삼다수 무단반출 의혹과 관련해
김정학 사장이 공식 사과하고 사법기관에 수사를 의뢰했습니다.

김정학 사장은 5일 제주도청에서 긴급 브리핑을 통해 최근 불미스러운 사건으로 도민께 큰 실망을 드리게 됐다며 사과하고 전체 임직원 모두 책임을 통감한다고 말했습니다.

특히 특별감사를 통해 확인된 6명에 대해서는 업무상 횡령 혐의로
5일 오전 동부경찰서에 고소 조치를 했다고 밝혔습니다.

김 사장은 한 치의 의구심이 들지 않도록 사법기관 조사에 성실히 임하고
향후 법과 규정에 따라 엄중 조치하겠다고 강조했습니다.

한편 제주도개발공사 자체 감사결과 삼다수 무단반출 연루자는 당초 4명에서 6명으로 늘었고
반출량은 소비자 가격 기준 400만원 상당인 것으로 드러났습니다.
