Lawmaker Shim: ‘Plans for the second airport should be annulled’
She held press conference in Jeju

Lawmaker Shim Sang-jung of the Justice Party held a press conference at the Jeju Provincial Council's building, arguing that the second airport construction plan should be abolished and a new vision should be established.

Shim emphasized that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport should annul all pre-existing plans of the second airport, quoting the inadequacy of the current strategic environmental impact assessment which has been asked to revise three times by the Ministry of Environment.

At the same time, she suggested that the province should create a new vision to preserve the province’s characteristics, and that tourism policies should be created to meet the environmental capacity while resolving inconveniences of the current airport.

국토부는
제2공항 백지화를 선언해야 한다고 강조했습니다.

그러면서
제주는 제주다움을 지키는
새로운 비전을 만들어야 한다며
환경 수용력에 맞는 관광정책을 수립하고
현 공항의 불편을 해소해야 한다고 제안했습니다.
