Social distancing rules may hit Level 4
Officials working to prevent need for severest measures

As COVID-19 continues to spread in the province, quarantine authorities are considering strengthening social distancing measures.

(임태봉) Lim Tae-bong, Head of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters, stated at a briefing on the the 23rd that the province is ready for raising social distancing level to four.

Representative Lim also mentioned that he would carry out more efforts to prevent the social distancing level from reaching level 4, and announced that effects of social distancing would be revealed in the coming week or so.

제주지역 코로나19 확산세가 계속되면서
방역당국이 사회적 거리두기 격상도 고려하고 있다는
입장을 밝혔습니다.

임태봉 제주도 재난안전대책본부 통제관은
23일 오전 코로나19 관련 브리핑에서
거리두기 4단계 격상을 고려하느냐는 질문에
늘 대비하고 있다고 답했습니다.

다만 4단계까지 가지 않도록 더 노력하겠다며
다음주 정도에는 어느정도 방역의 성과가 나올 것이라고 설명했습니다.

최근 일주일 하루 평균 신규 확진자 수는 18.7명을
보이고 있습니다.
