Illegal rental car business caught
Violators will face fines up to ￦10M

A rental car agency was caught for bringing in dozens of rental cars registered outside of the province to run their rental business in light of the summer holiday.

The province said that it has requested the police to investigate illegal business activities of rental car companies that are not registered in the province for violating the Passenger Transportation Service Act.

Violators will be fined up to 10 million won in accordance with the law.

In addition, the province has taken administrative action on seven cases, including two cases of business suspension this year, and is in the process of investigating 41 cars from 4 companies.

여름 휴가철을 맞아 다른 지역에 등록된 렌터카 수십대를
제주에 반입해 영업하던 업체가 적발됐습니다.

제주도는 도내에 등록되지 않은 렌터카업체에 대한 불법 영업행위를 적발해 여객자동차운수사업법 위반 혐의로 경찰에 수사 의뢰했다고 밝혔습니다.

불법 영업행위가 인정되면 해당 업체에는 관련 법에 따라 1천만원 이하의 벌금이 부과됩니다.

제주도는 이번 수사의뢰 건 외에 올 들어 영업정지 2건 등 7건에 대해 행정조치하고
4개 업체 41대에 대해서는 사실 확인을 조사하고 있습니다.
