Power demand reaches peak
No issues in electricity supply

The demand for electricity in the province has soared due to the sweltering heat.

The Jeju Office of the Korea Power Exchange announced that at 7 pm on the 6th, the demand for electricity in the province surpassed 1,012,000 kilowatts (kW).

This exceeded 1,009,000 kilowatts (kW), the peak demand for electricity in the summer of last year.

At the time of the peak demand for electricity, the reserve ratio was 28%, with no particular issues in electricity supply.

연일 이어지는 무더위에 냉방기기 사용이 급증하면서
제주지역 최대전력수요가 올해 최고치를 기록했습니다.

전력거래소 제주본부는 6일 오후 7시
제주지역 전력수요가 101만2천킬로와트(㎾)를 기록했다고 밝혔습니다.

이는 지난해 여름철 최대 전력수요인 100만9천킬로와트(㎾)를
넘어선 겁니다.

최대전력수요 발생 당시 예비율은 28％로
전력 수급에는 문제가 없었습니다.
