Jeju 4.3 Victims Memorial Day, which is designated as a local holiday in the Jeju region, is expected to appear in calendars in the future.

According to the province, April 3rd and the 4.3 Victims Memorial Day were reflected in next year's 'official calendar', which is the standard for calendar production announced annually by the Ministry of Science and ICT in accordance with the Astronomical Act.

It is the first time in four years that April 3 is reflected in the lunar calendar since the April 3rd anniversary was designated as a local holiday in 2018.

The province expects that this will serve as an opportunity for the standardization of April 3rd for the whole nation to commemorate and recognize the incident each year, reflecting on the historical pain.
