AstraZeneca vaccines have been disposed of due to residents avoiding the brand.

According to quarantine authorities, some clinics in the province that were selected as the vaccination consignee, discarded some of the unusedAstraZeneca vaccines on the 12th.

Supplies were eventually scrapped due to people not showing up on their pre-reserved dates and not making additional reservations.

The main factor to the low number in applicants for the additional reservations were due to the rise in the target age of AstraZeneca inoculation, which has been raised from 30 to 50 years old.

Eventually, the government has revised its policy to allow people 30 and above to apply for the AstraZeneca vaccine, effective from the 13th.
