Household debt showed a significant increase in Jeju.

According to the Jeju Branch of Bank of Korea, the total amount of loans issued by local financial institutions increased by 156.6 billion won in June. This is a steep increase compared to the previous month which records an increase of 75.3 billion won.

The amount of company loans has slightly decreased, but the amount of household debts increased by 78.7 billion won.

The Bank of Korea said that low interest policy loans are attributed to an increase in the amount of household debts.
