A Revision bill to the Special Act that abolishes the legal ground for establishing for-profit hospitals in Jeju has been proposed.

(위성곤) Wi Seong-gon, a lawmaker of the Democratic Party of Korea, proposed a revision bill that revokes an exemption law that allows the establishment of for-profit hospitals. This is proposed to settle controversy over for-profit hospitals.

This revision bill removes legal ground to establish for-profit hospitals.

In addition, implementing a healthcare plan that enhances publicness is stipulated. Projects related to the Framework Act on Health and Medical Services and a health impact assessment will be added to the healthcare plan.

특별법 개정안이 발의됐습니다.

더불어민주당 위성곤 의원은
외국의료기관 개설에 대한 특례 등을 삭제해
영리병원 설립 논란을 해소하는 내용의
제주특별법 개정안을 대표 발의했습니다.

이번 개정안은
기존 제주특별법에 규정된
의료기관 개설 등에 관한 특례를 폐지해
영리병원 설립에 대한 법적 근거를 삭제했습니다.

이와함께
제주도 의료공공성 강화를 기조로
보건의료 발전계획을 수립하도록 하고
해당 계획에
국가보건의료기본법과 연계한 사업이나
도민건강영향평가 등을 추가하도록 의무화했습니다.
