Law revisions that enhance the support for areas affected by airport noise will be pushed forward.

A lawmaker of the Democratic Party of Korea, (송재호)Song Jae-ho proposed a bill on the prevention of airport noise and support for areas strongly affected by airport noise. The bill includes that village halls used by area residents can receive subsidies for cooling costs.

The revision bill allows airport facility managers and project operators to execute community support programs, which have been allowed only for local government heads. The revised law also includes a reduction in income tax for residents in noise-prone areas.

In addition, when airport facility administrators or project operators provide funds for community support programs, the upper limit of supporting fund ratio, which is 75%, will be revoked to expand the scope of support.

제주공항 등 공항소음으로 인한 피해 지역에 지원을 강화하는 내용의
법 개정이 추진됩니다.

더불어민주당 송재호 의원이
대표 발의한 공항소음 방지와 소음대책지역 지원 법률 개정안은
냉방비 지원 대상에 주민이 공동으로 이용하는
마을회관 등을 추가하도록 했습니다.

또 현재 기초단체장으로만 한정된
지원사업 주체를 공항 시설관리자와 사업시행자까지 확대하고
해당지역 주민이 소득세 감면 지원을 받을 수 있도록 보상안을 포함했습니다.

이 밖에 공항 시설관리자나 사업시행자가
주민지원 사업 자금을 지원할 때
최대 75%로 상한이 규정된 지원금 비율을 삭제해
지원 범위를 확대했습니다.
