The province has selected six projects to be a part of a Balanced Regional Development Support Plan for next year.

The selected projects include establishment of a platform for Haenyeo women sea divers, in (구좌읍) Gujwa-eup to sell marine products, a construction of an agricultural product processing facility in (표선면) Pyoseon-myeon and a music education project in (한경면) Hangyeong-myeon.

The provincial government will support 1.7 billion won for these projects and will subsidize 90% of instructor compensations.

The province expects that the projects will ease regional disparity and increase regional competitiveness.
