Investigations on illegal store rental and sales
Crackdown at 5-day markets

The Jeju City Municipal Office will conduct an investigation on illegal store rental and sales focusing on 940 stalls at the Traditional 5-day market in Jeju City.

Investigation will be conducted through December 10th
and will focus on reexamining stores
that are suspected to be illegally leased or sold.
The investigation also checks whether the stalls
are being used for other purposes
and/or are occupied without permission.

The city government will revoke an approval of use
and impose fines and administrative measures,
and criminal charges on violators.

Meanwhile, Jeju City office is taking administrative measures,
including revoking the approval of use,
on three cases after investigations at the
Jeju Dongmun Traditional market and Seomun Market.

제주시가
민속오일시장 940개 점포를 대상으로 전매. 전대 실태를 조사합니다.

이번 조사는 오는 12월 10일까지 이뤄지며
제3자 전대·전매로 의심되는 점포에 대해 재조사를 중심으로
허가목적 외 사용 여부,
무단 점유 등을 중점 확인하게 됩니다.

위반사항이 적발되면 사용허가 취소와 변상금 부과,
형사고발 등의 행정처분을 내릴 계획입니다.

한편 제주시는 동문공설시장과 서문공설시장에 대한 조사 결과
허가취소 3건 등 행정처분을 진행하고 있습니다.
