Province to establish electronic library
Access to 1,000 e-books

The provincial office will establish an electronic library that allows access to 1,000 electronic books.

Most libraries in Jeju operate electronic libraries,
but this is the first time to establish a system
that allows users to read electronic books.

Provincial residents can enjoy reading electronic books
through the system after online registration
from the end of this year.

In addition, the provincial office is planning
to enhance the convenience of vulnerable groups,
such as elders and disabled readers,
and also plans to implement audio book services.

제주도가 올해
전자책 1천여 권 열람이 가능한
'전자 작은 도서관'을 구축합니다.

도내 대부분의 공공도서관이
전자도서관을 구축하고 있지만
작은도서관의 경우
전자책 열람 서비스가 구축되는 것은
이번이 처음입니다.

작은도서관 도서대출 시스템에 등록된
도민이면 누구나
올해 말부터
PC나 모바일로 홈페이지를 통해 열람할 수 있게 됩니다.

이와 함께 전자책에 음성기능을 탑재해
어르신과 장애인 등 취약계층의 독서 편의도 증진시킬 예정입니다.
